Back in the year 2016, LALITA wasn’t a business plan—it was just a class project at the University of Oregon with a simple goal: pass along a little kindness by sending positive greeting cards to strangers.
 
We started small, packing up tables at Portland craft fairs and connecting with people one card at a time. We had big dreams, a lot of hope, and zero guarantee of where it would lead.
 
Decades later, that small idea has grown into something beyond what we could have imagined. Today, LALITA is a full fashion and lifestyle brand crafting leather handbags, daily totes, and the stationery that started it all.
 
To mark 10 years, we’re honoring our humble beginnings with our signature tote bag, designed in emerald green and yellow—a proud nod to University of Oregon spirit (#ScoDucks) and the college project where this dream took flight.
